Miriam Dikuua


Miriam’s musical career started at the age of 6 years, when she started with piano training at the College of the Arts in Windhoek. She continued to play piano for 12 years. During this time she performed with the Namibian National Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra. In 1994 she started singing in the Namibian National Youth Choir and in 2000 she was selected to sing in the World Youth Choir in Spain. In 2004 Miriam was a member of the Stellenbosch University Choir and during this year the choir won gold medals at the Choir Games held in Germany. In 2005 she joined the Maranatha Singers based in Windhoek and was a member of this choir for 10 years. In 2010 she was invited by the Namibian embassy in Berlin, Germany to perform at their Independence Celebration Concert. Miriam is a founding member of Collective and sings soprano.

A highlight of Collective in their short existence was being summoned by His Excellency Dr. Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, in December 2015 to accompany his Christmas message.
